Billing
Billing
Two plans, plus pay-as-you-go if you'd rather not subscribe. Migrations are charged per GB of
source data and only on success; backups are charged per GB of source per month; restores are
always free.
Free — no card required
The on-ramp:
- Your first migration is free (source under 1 GB) — no card, starts immediately.
- Back up 1 database (up to 1 GB, daily, 7-day restore history) free
for your first month.
- Restore is always free, on any plan.
After the first month, scheduled backups pause unless you upgrade. Backups you already have stay
restorable for 3 months, then they're deleted — unless they're in your own bucket, which we
never touch.
Pro — $9/month
One flat monthly price for your whole team — up to 3 people:
- Unlimited database backups, on every cloud — daily, with a 14-day restore history.
- Protected data is metered on top: $2.50/GB of source per month, from the first GB.
- Migrations & conversions are pay-per-use on every plan, at the standard rates below — no
plan bundles them.
Subscribe from Pricing or Settings → Billing. Manage or cancel anytime from the billing
portal.
Business — $19/month
Everything in Pro, plus:
- Unlimited team members (Pro caps at 3).
- 30-day restore history (Pro keeps 14 days).
- 20% off every migration — $1.60/GB same-engine, $3.20/GB
cross-engine.
Migrations, with or without a subscription
Past your free migration, every migration is billed by source size, rounded up to the whole GB —
no minimum, on every plan (Business pays 20% less):
- $2/GB — same-engine transfer
- $4/GB — cross-engine conversion
You only pay for a migration that succeeds. When you start, we place a temporary authorization
hold on your card and capture it only on success; a failed run releases the hold and you pay
nothing. (A hold may show briefly as "pending" even when a run fails — that's the release in
progress.)
Ongoing backups need a subscription — the free tier covers 1 database for your first month,
then scheduled backups pause until you upgrade (existing backups stay restorable for 3
months). Restoring from them is always free.
What a subscription actually buys
A plan buys seats and features. The data you protect is billed on top, per GB, from the first
one — there is no included allowance and no cap to run out of.
That is deliberate. An allowance sounds generous and behaves badly: it is a threshold you can cross
without noticing, and on the other side of it either your backups stop or the bill jumps. Metering
from the first GB means the number moves smoothly with your data and nothing ever stops working
because you grew.
- Pro — $9/month for up to 3 members, plus $2.50/GB of database per month.
- Business — $19/month for unlimited members, plus $2.50/GB — the same per-GB
rate as Pro, deliberately. Business's value is seats, retention and the migration discount,
never cheaper data.
One rate covers everything we keep under protection, so there is never more than one number to
reason about.

Restores are never metered — not per restore, not per GB, not after a plan lapses inside the
3-month window. Getting your data back is the point of the product, so it is never the thing
a bill can block.
